I have a pentium laptop with 1.3G free space and a 3com ethernet PC card,
but alas, no CD rom drive. If I share my Win95 CD over my LAN, is there a
way to boot from a floppy on the laptop and install Win 95 from the network
share?

Has anyone created a network-aware Win95 boot disk? Can this be done?

Thanks,

Joe

Yes, yes.

Joe, I'll send you an e-mail zip of one of my boot disks. What network
card do you have as you need different drivers for each?

You can copy the W95 directory from the CD to the laptop and install from
there. Once it is on the HD you can clean up the HD and remove just about
everything else. There are a couple tricks to be able to use the upgrade
CD or the full install CD.
