SVdP Cllothes  Drive

Where: UCC Garage

Details: SVdP’s clothing drive is still on for one more week! Just drop off your gently used clothing in the basement of the front stairwell (follow the arrows from the lobby or enter the stairwell from the garage level) and we’ll donate it to a good cause for you! Thanks for your generosity!

Jesuit Volunteer Corps Alumni Panel

When: February  28 (Thursday)

Details: Colin Murphy, JVC’s West Coast Recruiter, served last year as a Jesuit Volunteer in San Francisco, CA,  and will be hosting panel discussion with other local JVs at the UCC this week! He is available for one-on-one meetings throughout the day. The Jesuit Volunteer Corps is a service opportunity for college grads that places volunteers in one of 40 cities around the United States and six countries abroad, to work for justice and peace with the poor and marginalized of society. Working for one or two years, JVs are exposed to the social injustices that plague our world and work to bring about change. JVs have served both in LA and in other US cities, like past UCC alumni Brian Cuadra (‘10), Bianca Paraguya (‘11), and Melodie Ampuero (‘12).  It's a post-graduate opportunity worth considering!

SVdP Skid Row Service

When: March 2 (Saturday)

Time: 8:00 AM

Where: UCC, Downtown Skid Row

Details:  Join SVdP as we cook and distribute meals for our brothers and sisters living on Skid Row. We’ll meet in the UCC kitchen at 8am to cook and leave for downtown around 9:30am. Hope to see you there!

Spring Retreat 2013: "Spiritual Networking: Lessons from St. Francis"

When:  April 5,6,7  (Week 1 of Spring Quarter)

Where: Lake Arrowhed  

Details: God, Friends, Nature, a weekend in the mountains, what more could you want? Sign up for our annual Spring Retreat! The price is  $70 , but if you give a deposit on or before 3/10 you get the "early bird" price of $60.  Scholarships are also available!
