Hi All,
I am a 4th year grad student at Cal and I am trying to help raise funds to aid in creating infrastructure and schools to educate impoverished kids who either can't afford to go to schools or do not have a school in vicinity to go to in villages of India.
I have taken up a challenge of running 52.4 miles (double marathon) starting 00:00a.m. 6/16/2013 as a part of 52.4 mile Worth the Hurt Run at San Francisco Marathon to raise funds for this cause that I consider worthy enough. The idea of somehow contributing to smiles of children, provide them with an opportunity to read, rise and compete has taken me thus far.
As I write this, I have raised $3430, and I am positive, pumped and committed to run down every inch of those 52 miles and 704 yards next weekend.. As this final week stands gazing at me, I am reaching out to all my fellow Bears, to help me reach my goal of $5240. . I am counting on your helping hands to take me all the way.. I can't emphasize enough how every penny would help.
If you believe in the cause I am supporting, you can read more and help by contributing to the fundraiser at http://events.runforindia.org/berkeley/2013/avinash
Many thanks,
Avinash.
