reminder: Champaign County Bikes Annual Meeting Thursday Dec 8 - Hybrid

As a member of one of our area bike related listservs, I just want to remind you of our annual meeting this week, Thursday Dec 8, 7-8:30pm (with apologies for duplicate email. In person, we will be in the Busey Conference room 220 of the
Champaign Public Library so this has limited seating.
We will start with guest speaker Tony Cherolis who will talk about his bike touring (most recently from Connecticut to the Midwest, the east coast, as well as Florida to New Orleans) and his observations on active transportation activism and advocacy. Tony lived in Urbana from 2007 to 2010 and was instrumental in the early days and growth of The Bike Project, including the 2nd campus location. Most recently Tony has worked with the Center for Latino Progress, co-founding the BiCi Co. community bike shop and programs in Hartford, Connecticut. Additionally Tony co-founded the Center's Transport Hartford Academy program that holistically works on equitable mobility, sustainability, transit, and safe streets in the Hartford metro region. Tony just finished a 5-month wandering bicycle tour and will be settling next week nearby in Indianapolis to be closer to family and a 2-year old niece.
The meeting will also include an update on Ride Illinois from its
board president Cynthia Hoyle as well as an annual report on CCB
and conclude with board elections.
