Subject: Michael Ainsworth arrested on rape charges (See Notice Below)
The article only focuses on the 2 OSU players but the Michael S. Ainsworth
mentioned in the article is 18 and from Duarte, Ca. Cal's top fb recruit
Michael Ainsworth was born on 1/29/80 and played for Monrovia HS (which is
located next to Duarte in East Los Angeles. It does not look good and if
the accusations are true, good riddance. Now, I really wish Donte
Stallworth had signed with Cal instead of Tennessee.

TWO OREGON ST. PLAYERS CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ABUSING WOMAN
(AP) - Two Oregon State football players were among four men
accused of sexually attacking a woman during a drinking party in
a campus-area apartment. Starting tailback Jason Dandridge and
linebacker Calvin Carlyle could each face up to 20 years in
prison if convicted of sodomy, unlawful penetration and sex
abuse. Michael S. Ainsworth, 18, of Duarte, Calif., and Nakia D.
Ware, 23, of Covina, Calif., each face those charges and also a
rape charge. They also could get up to 20 years if convicted. The
men were arrested and jailed Thursday after a 24-year-old Salem
woman contacted police and said she had been raped during the
party Wednesday. "There was some initial hesitation" by the
woman, said Sgt. Michael Mann. "But we followed up immediately
after she made the initial contact." Mann said the woman was
attacked during what he called a "small social gathering. ... It
was certainly not what you would think of as a college party."
Coach Mike Riley said Dandridge, a three-year letterman, and
Carlyle, who enrolled last year but has not yet played for the
Beavers, both have been suspended from the team. Riley and
university officials declined further comment. Dandridge, a
20-year-old senior from Moreno Valley, Calif., was listed as the
No. 1 running back after rushing for 190 yards and two touchdowns
last season. Carlyle, 18, from Los Angeles, was on last year's
roster but was declared academically ineligible, so he delayed
enrolling until the winter quarter. He is listed as a freshman
for next season. The four men had been scheduled to appear Friday
in Benton County Circuit Court but apparently only their lawyers
attended the brief hearing. The prosecutor assigned to the case,
Assistant District Attorney Pam Hediger, declined to comment.
Mann said all four men were expected to be released Friday.
