Congratulations on putting on one the best community events I have ever
attended! I am in awe of the incredible dedication you exhibited throughout
the year and so proud of all of you. I can only begin to imagine what
incredible good all of you will do after you leave campus and how far you
will carry your sense of community service. It gives me hope for humanity.
It was touching to see so many Eggster alums at the event helping out --
Curtis, Cherie, Jay, Emily, Anthony, Allison and many others, but the day
belonged to the kids and to the current crop of Eggster volunteers. Dong
and Scott, your humor and leadership was felt in practically all aspects of
Saturday's event. Publicity and fundraising hit an all time high. The
attention to details was evident in everything you created -- the scales of
the fish, the gameboard, the Fabulous Forest Hunt, the t-shirt design, the
backdrop for Eggster Theater, recycling eggs. . . I am proud in my very
small way to be associated with Eggsters. As you plan for next year, please
let me know how the California Alumni Association can be more supportive.
