ClariNet has an opening for an Internet news (USENET) administrator and
technical support specialist. This is a mid-level position, and
requires previous experience with the administration/support of one or
more USENET news servers as well as direct-contact customer technical
support. A highly motivated and energetic recent graduate might be
considered, depending on experience and skill level. The qualified
candidate will possess the following attributes:
* Excellent english language skills
* Prior experience as a customer service representative or technical
support specialist
* Enjoys working with the public
* Significant experience maintaining and/or administering USENET news
services (C-News, NNTP, etc.) and servers (Solaris exp. preferred).
* BS in CS/EE or equivalent experience required
Job responsibilities will include: administering news feeds, managing
ClariNet's news feed network, hands-on support for customer system
administrators, troubleshooting customer concerns or difficulties with
newsfeeds, resolving problems with Network traffic, server, nntp,
issues. And much more!
