So far, all the posts I have seen to the group appear to be from the Fall
2008 semester, although I might have deleted a few from this semster
accidentally. I haven't seen any activity in 24 hours, so just checking.

Yes, this is it -- nobody's posted anything yet!

I'm a little confused. When I use the web interface that links off of the
course website to view the newsgroup (I believe it's called webnews) only
a few messages are visible, and those messages do not appear in this newsgroup
which I am currently viewing logged into one of the instructional servers.
Is there a reason why the groups are not connected?

Also, it seems that the names attached to the cs61a accounts from last
semester have not been removed (I had to modify my .pinerc file to
override the other name that appeared on my previous post). Is this really
the case, or is there some file where I was supposed to change the name
attached to my class account (I did use the re-register command to make
sure I had actually registered the account in my name)?

I see, is /that/ what's happening! Thanks for clarifying it. I've asked
the instructional support staff to see to it that the web interface gets
the same newsgroup as the real newsgroup (this one).

I don't understand the name business but I've asked them to get that fixed
also. Stay tuned.
