Fellow Students,

Come to the CSUA/ST@B Hackathon this Friday in the Wozniak Lounge at 6pm
and release your latent genius! The hackathon is a project-based coding
competition. Entries will be judged based on how well they embody the
"hacker ethos". What does this mean? Well, it's sort of hard to explain,
because the phrase is intentionally vague. Here are two examples that
fit really nicely:

http://flickrvision.com/

These are just examples; projects do not have to be web-based, nor do
they have to be totally useless. The only rule is that all the coding
must be done at the competition. Don't worry if you don't have a team or
idea. There will be teams looking for people at the event.

Come for food, tech talks, and prizes. All winning team members will
recieve their own copy of the prizes, which will be:

1st Nintento Wii (you have no idea how difficult it was to obtain 4 Wii's)
2nd Nintendo DS
3rd Wifi Detecting T-shirt: http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/generic/991e/
raffle door prize: 40 4GB USB flash drives

Hope to see you there, and good luck to the contestants!

Daniel Wong
President of the CSUA

Hmm. Maybe I should have people not show up so I can claim them all. jk.
I'm really hoping for a good turnout.

I've seen this done a few times. It's sort of amusing.
