Hi everyone, I don't want to spam the listserve, so I'll tell you upfront, this is non-SEEDS business, but it's important and related to campus sustainability!!!
Many of you likely know about the initiative to phase out bottled water sales on campus, it passed with a landslide.... One major barrier to getting actualizing the phase out is that many people (a.) don't trust our tap water, (b.) think we don't have enough access to tap water sources and (c.) haven't seen the colorful map I've been working on!! The I ♥ Tap Water campaign has been working on supporting tap water infrastructure for years and has decreased bottled water sales by almost 50% since the 05/06 school year!
But it takes an ongoing, tireless effort to continue this, So we've made a TAP WATER MAP!!, and I need as much help as possible making it more widely known. Bookmark it on your browser, forward to friends, listserves, post it as your status, rate it and write comments, give feedback, fave spots, twitter tweet thing, blog, diary, write about it chalk on the sidewalks, blimps, tattoos, jk about those last few, but really, I'd love for your support....
AND, one of the largest parts of the effort to change social norms and behavior surrounding the tap v. bottled issue is just visibility, and we're trying to really do that through our facebook page!! I promise, you won't hear too much from us if you click the 'like' button, but it'd make me really happy.
