Whether you are playing the hottest new games or working with the latest creative applications, NVIDIA drivers are custom tailored to provide the best possible experience. If you are a gamer who prioritizes day of launch support for the latest games, patches, and DLCs, choose Game Ready Drivers. If you are a content creator who prioritizes reliability for creative workflows including video editing, animation, photography, graphic design, and livestreaming, choose Studio Drivers. Do a little bit of both? No worries, either can support running the best games and creative apps.

"Beta Release" Beta drivers are provided by NVIDIA as preview releases for quick bug fixes and access to new features. Beta drivers are under qualification testing, and may include significant issues. It is the end user's responsibility to protect system and data when using Beta drivers with NVIDIA products. It is strongly recommended that end users back up all the data prior to using Beta drivers from this site. Please ensure that newer Recommended/Certified drivers are not already posted on NVIDIA.com prior to installation and usage of Beta drivers. Beta drivers posted do not carry any warranties nor support services.

This article addresses a deployment approach that uses Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). You can also apply this information to other deployment methodologies. On most types of Surface devices, the keyboard should work during Lite Touch Installation (LTI). However, Surface Laptop requires some extra drivers to enable the keyboard. For Surface Laptop (1st Gen) and Surface Laptop 2 devices, you must prepare the folder structure and selection profiles that allow you to specify keyboard drivers for use during the Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE) phase of LTI. For more information about this folder structure, see Deploy a Windows 10 image using MDT: Step 5: Prepare the drivers repository.

Extract the contents of the Surface Laptop .msi file to a folder that you can easily locate (for example, c:\surface_laptop_drivers). To extract the contents, open an elevated Command Prompt window and run the command from the following example:

Installation of the nvidia drivers should be done by first enabling the 3rd party repos in the gnome software app, then from the command line installing the drivers with sudo dnf install akmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-cuda. This installation supports the gpu with the driver as well as apps that require use of cuda. It also enables use of the hardware acceleration on the dGPU so the user gets much better performance when playing games, streaming video, etc.

Note that all the steps in that reference tell how to install the nvidia drivers, up to and including step 8. The only piece that is exclusively for setting the nvidia as primary is the part of step 8 where the user is told to edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/nvidia.conf and insert the one line option Option "PrimaryGPU" "Yes" into the file. Everything else is just related to installing and properly configuring the nvidia GPU.

If not already aware, you should know that the nvidia drivers (and actually any drivers that are not from the fedora repos) will not load when secure boot is enabled. The user must take additional steps to create and enroll a signing key into bios, then ensure the locally compiled modules are properly signed if they wish to have secure boot active.

Many people spend money unnecessarily replacing laptop batteries when they may have fixed the issue with a simple battery reset or a Drivers update. If you are having problems charging your laptop battery, then reading this post may save you a lot of time, money and frustration!

Click Have Disk and then Browse. Browse to the folder that contains the driver you just downloaded. These files include all the information necessary for updating drivers.

Avast Driver Updater scans your computer top to bottom, easily finds new or updated drivers for you, and keeps them updated automatically. It checks the compatibility of over 60 million drivers from more than 1,300 of the most well-known brands to make sure that your drivers get updated quickly and stay updated reliably.

But keep in mind that downloading drivers from third-party sites is risky and can expose you to malware and other threats. Only use sites you know and trust, or stick to the methods outlined above.

Periodically updating audio drivers can help avoid performance issues and introduce new product features. New audio driver packages may fix bugs that cause sound issues, while helping to enhance your sound devices. Generally, updating all your PC drivers will ensure your computer and accessories are functioning at their best.

If you are missing audio drivers on Windows 10 you have two options: you can run a Windows Update to automatically find new or missing audio drivers. Or you can use the Device Manager feature to search for missing audio drivers.

[I did something similar with my Thinkpad. Before the Win7 install, I downloaded all of the most recent drivers and utilities, and put them on a USB flash drive. I installed the OEM drivers before performing repeated Windows Updates. BTW activating Win7 with the product key off the sticker required a phone call to Microsoft.]

Ideally you would want to install the manufacturer's version of all device drivers (rather than use Microsoft's default or a generic version) to ensure that you'll be able to utilize any enhancements the OEM may have installed/enabled for those devices. You may have to sort through the driver list to download just the most recent version of each driver for the HW installed in your PC. Fortunately the Windows driver installer will alert you if you try to install a driver "older" than what is already in use or if the device is not installed at all (e.g. you pick the wrong network driver).

No, just the 64-bit drivers should be installed. The OS is 64-bit, and it's just the userland programs that can run in 32-bit mode. (Actually that's an educated guess on my part, since there is no practical way that an OS can share one device between two drivers. In this case the 64-bit driver should be aware of the 32-bit mode if it's necessary.)

I am using the Eve 5 2-in-1 laptop from a small enthusiasts manufacturer. The device came with windows installed and the in-built camera and microphone work with this OS. But more often I use the other partition on the device - Ubuntu 20.04.2. On it the in-built camera and mic don't work (but I can use external mics from headphones). From looking in the forums of the device I found that the device doesn't have drivers for the camera and mic for Linux. Here you can see the output of my lsusb and lsusb -v commands:
