September 20, 2011     Get Ready, Get Set, Get Voting for Bernie's Book Bank!   Bernie's Book Bank has been nominated for a Chicago Sun Shine Project Grant sponsored by the Chicago Sun-Times Charity Fund.    This grant could equal up to $50,000 for Bernie's Book Bank!  Grants will be awarded based on the number of votes and positive comments received.    So if you are proud of the work being done by Bernie's Book Bank, please take a moment to VOTE for Bernie's Book Bank! Voting runs from September 20 - October 9, 2011. You may only vote once.   To vote for Bernie's Book Bank, go to: http://www.chicagosunshineproject.com/topics/project/youth_edu_lit/64    You will have to sign up with an email and password or through Facebook to vote. While this is a bit inconvenient, we hope that it's worth it, knowing how many more children will be served by Bernie's Book Bank if we succeed in receiving this grant!   $50,000 equals another 300,000 books we can deliver!    Please take the time to leave your comments about BBB and how we are making a difference in so many children's lives! In less than two years, we've collected, processed and distributed more than 330,000 books to at-risk children at a cost of only 16 cents per book.
