Hi David:

Can you please drop the DNAME entry for test.philips.

test.philips. 86400 IN DNAME philips.com.

leave everything else as is.

As per the RFC it is impossible to have a DNAME under an DNAME RR that
is lower down in the DNS tree. So if

philips. 86400 IN DNAME philips.com.

exists then you can't have

test.philips. 86400 IN DNAME philips.com.


and the test we have run do in fact confirm this.

I consider this test completed and successful.
