The UC Dog Park Committee met at the UC Animal Shelter at 6 PM on June 6.

Topics discussed were:

Upcoming lighting project for the park. Latest word is that it will be
installed by the first week of July. There will be three light poles
with LED lights to cover the park. The light poles will be configured
to accept one additional light each if we decide that additional
lighting is needed.

The funding for the current light poles is paid. Additional lights will
cost (rough estimate) between $500 and $1000 each.

The park will be closed during lighting installation due to open
trenches, but the close time will be minimized.

---------

Currently available funds (all sources) is about $2920.

---------

There is apparently a problem with drainage at the two water stations in
the large dog park with potential algae build up. This will be reported
to Public Works.

--------

Overall, the park is a huge success. Thanks to all that worked so hard
to make it happen.

Next meeting is undetermined at this time. Announcements will be made
at the Animal Shelter, the Park bulletin board, and this mailing list.
