3.  NEW BUSINESS:  Lori will be assuming the chair of Parks Partners (PP), a 501(c)3 which raises funds for all Universal City parks.  There is much to do to get it running again so she is, therefore, resigning from the dog park committtee.  Beverly and Judy S. will be assisting Lori as much as possible to rejuvinate PP and are also resigning from this committee.  Randy Luensmann, director of Public Works, will be a vital resource.  For those interested in city parks, The Parks and Recreation Commission generally meets every 4th Tuesday of the month at 6PM at Public Works.  The Commision is made  up of appointed members but meetings are open to all.  Meeting notice are posted on the city web site.
4.  OLD BUSINESS:  Dog park lights are in the process of being installed.  As the park is a city park, lights will be off at11PM.  PP has pledged $2,000.00 yearly to the dog park.  Those interested in continuing a dog park committee should communicate with one another.  Email adrresses to sign into Google Groups and to email committee members were reiterated.
5.  BARK,PARK and WINE:  Will be held Friday, November 9. 2012, 6:30-9:30 PM at Olympia Hills Golf and Conference Center.  It will be sponsored by PP;  assistance previously provided by Magie will now be provided by Regina, the city events coordinator.  PP wiill be seeking volunteers from citizens interested in city parks and groups such as the Vets Park Comittee and Dog Park Committee.  By using multiple areas of the center, it is anticipated that 300-350 people can be acommodated.  Food and entertainment will be at all levels, the auction in the lounge. It iis hoped that the weather will allow outside seating;  We can reserve weather protection with a refundable deposit.  Reserved tables will again available, although probably a smaller number than last year.  PP will be seeking sponsors and hope to have a large banner across Pat Booker Rd.  Proceeds will benefit all UC parks.  As before, we will seek donations for the auction.
6.  ADDITIONAL COMMENTS  Several people at thismeeting enumerated problems they see in the park.  It was noted that the majority of infractions occur after theshelter is closed.  The city is already looking at ordinances which would give more "bite" to rules.  The new committee might want to review park rules and consult with Rany regarding modification/addition/enforcement of rules.
7. ADJOURNMENT: 7:10 PM
