Next Dogpark Meeting

I'd like to schedule a Dog Park meeting for 6PM on Wednesday June 6 at
the animal shelter.

The committee needs to be brought up to date on finances and we need to
discuss future plans. Events are in motion to install light poles in
the next week or so, but we may want to enhance what is being put in.

Hi everyone,

 

I just talked to Randy at Public Works.  He told me his crew has fabricated the poles, but the actual light fixtures are on back order and won't be here for at least 4 weeks.  Once they receive the fixtures, they must attach them to the poles, wire them, dig the trenches in the park for the wiring, etc.  He estimates the lights won't be up until at least July.

 

Lori and I feel that we must not ask anyone for funds until we can show them the results of the last fund raiser (lights!)

 

Lori and I have been discussing the next fund raiser and we're looking at various ideas and venues.  Once we have gathered sufficient information, we would like to meet with everyone and decide:  Do we want/need to do another fundraiser?  Where?  What type (wine tasting, casino night, ????).  We hope to have the information by July, we will call a meeting then. 

 

Bruce, I can't make the meeting on June 6, I have another committment.  Lori will be visiting her new grandbaby in Nashville and she isn't sure if she'll be back by June 6.    You need to talk with the shelter to get access to the meeting room.

That's reasonable, but we should still talk a bit as a group and discuss
future issues.
