Hey everyone,

As you may know, there was no Caffeine last quarter.  Many people were off on co-op or moving on to new adventures.  I am writing to find out if anyone wants to do it this Spring.  In the Fall, it was very informal (we chose our location at whim, such as Starbucks, or over dinner at Potbelly's), and that worked very well.  I am open to the idea of running it for one last quarter.  This email is not to push for it if there's not a need or spare time; goodness knows, I'm busy enough and you probably are too.  I just know that it was a good thing in my life to have conversations like that every once in a while, and that there are many ways to go about that.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hey Jen and Everyone,

I am interested...though I admit my attendance is always, like a dalmation, subject to the description "spotty at best."

Despite my addmitted addiction to overcommitment, I could also be interested in leading a very low-key centering/taize/lectio divina prayer meeting either in conjunction with or in addition to caffiene, pending interest, in a cozy nook yet to be determined...or perhaps outside as weather allows. There may or may not be some significant social justice overtones to bring in, depending on interest, again.

Enjoy your wet and cold first day back (smile, it's been spring for a week!),
Maria

Hey All!

I just wanted to let you know as well that some of us are starting a "Men's Group" which will be meeting on Wednesday nights to discuss religion, study, discuss, and pray. I feel that this is very similar to what CAFFEINE has done in the past (with some new stuff added and some old stuff taken away). My thoughts are simply thus: there is a Bible-study hosted by Michael and there is this Men's group for pray/discussion/other studying and as such, I will likely not be able to add CAFFEINE back onto my list (well, I can't attend the Bible study either since I am on co-op). Obviously, however, although there is a learning/discussion opportunity for guys and there is no similar group for girls, and there may be interest for CAFFEINE as a student-led group (some people might prefer a co-ed environment to a gender-specific one?). I don't know what you want to do with CAFFEINE, but I thought I'd let you know what is in the works, in case you were not aware (poor communication is a poor excuse for potential conflicts).

I look forward to seeing all of you sometime soon!
-Phillip

P.S. Jen, how did we not hang out more this past quarter? I guess it was a bit busy, but still, we should have done more! :)
