Caffeine: New Book, time, location. Interested?

Hey everyone!

It's time to get rolling with this quarter's Caffeine! Here are the
details that I can offer... keep an eye out for the next email with
the final decisions:

When: Tuesday nights at 8:30 or 9ish, 1 hour long. 1st meeting will
either be the 6th or the 13th.
Where: On-campus. I'm investigating CCM and Teacher's as an option.
What: A tiny, amazing book, suggested by Sister Leslie, called "Can
You Drink the Cup?" by Henri Nouwen.
Things to bring: Nothing at first... for those that want them
eventually, books will cost about $6

Excerpt from the book:
"Suddenly [Jesus'] words "Can you drink the cup?" pierced my heart. I
knew at that moment- as with a flash of insight- that taking this
question seriously would radically change our lives. It is the
question that has the power to crack open a hardened heart and lay
bare the tendons of the spiritual life... But why should we drink this
cup? There is so much pain, so much anguish, so much violence. Why
should we drink the cup? Wouldn't it be a lot easier to live normal
lives with a minimum of pain and a maximum of pleasure?... Can we hold
our life, lift our life, and drink it, as Jesus did? Just letting that
question sink in made me very uncomfortable. But I knew that I had to
start living with it. This book is the fruit of having done that. It
strives to make Jesus' question pierce our hearts so that a personal
answer can emerge from there."

only day I could do it due to internship obligations, and things are
still a little shaky, hence the time not being 100% set yet... if you
can't make it, please speak up, in the chance that I can engineer
something different.
