This also works for Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and gOS.

1. Be sure your system's repositories are loaded and up to date by
executing the following command:
sudo apt-get update

2. Download the latest version of the Ubuntuzilla installer (in .deb
Debian package format) from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=202789&package_id=241580
and save it to your home directory. Be sure to pick the package that
matches your system's architecture.

3. Open a terminal and execute the following command:
sudo dpkg -i ubuntuzilla*.deb

4. You should get a error about broken dependencies, so execute the
following command:
sudo apt-get install -f

5. Execute the following command (and be sure to answer the questions
when asked to do so):
ubuntuzilla.py -a install -p firefox

Firefox 3.0 Final can now be accessed from your GNOME/KDE/XFCE menu.

The same steps can also be used to install the latest versions of
Thunderbird and Seamonkey. To install Seamonkey, execute the following
command:
ubuntuzilla.py -a install -p seamonkey

And to install Thunderbird (and turn on automatic updates), execute
the following command:
ubuntuzilla.py -a install -p thunderbird
