Scanner that consistenly works

I have constant problems with my Canon MG 2220 scanner not working.

Reinstalling drivers does not help.

I am looking for recommendations for another printer/scanner or even just a scanner that will consistently work.

and you will download cnijfilter-mg2200series-3.80-1-deb.tar.gz 

the commands would be 

cd Downloads

tar -xzvf cnijfilter-mg2200series-3.80-1-deb.tar.gz

cd cnijfilter-mg2200series-3.80-1-deb

sudo ./install.sh
