转发 一则 AMD Opteron十二核与 Intel Xeon 八核对比，根据北京 @colyli 同学亲身体验，编译 allmodconfig 只要六分钟；

* Price difference: $1,992 or a 102% price delta for 1ku pricing

不知 ubuntu-sg-zh 区 Alex 与 wudao 几位同学有没有了解？ 不知 Xeon 编译性能是多少，Opteron
十二核价钱不到 Xeon 八核的一半？

如果按照当时攒机的比例标准，当时攒三千块的整机中 CPU 部分点五百人民币，大概整机是CPU的六倍来算，

要配这个AMD十二核的机器要花 美元 六七千，新币近万元；

如果已经有显示器等外设，只配机箱的话 CPU+内存+主板+硬盘+电源机箱，不知新币五千能不能搞定？

对于开发来说，我觉得就CPU计算能力最关键了，内存只要4G够用就行，多了也只在空闲状态；其它显卡、网卡、声卡全用集成的；硬盘也配普通的？
