LibreOffice Calc

I was using LibreOffice Calc and it failed and I am unable to restore it.  I don't need the content of the spread sheet, I just want the application to work.  I uninstalled LibreOffice and all if its associate modules and then reinstalled it and when I execute Calc I get the attached message and can't get past it.

Is there some variable that is set when the application fails and is not reset when I reinstall the application?  If so, where is it and how do I reset it?

I am running ubuntu 14.04 LTS.  LibreOffice Writer works fine.  What should I try next?
