Sometimes when using Ubuntu "Synaptic Package Manager" or the command
line "apt-get" to install a certain application, they ask you to insert
the Ubunut CD in order to continue. So, in order to let them search
online and skip looking in the cdrom you can go to
"/etc/apt/sources.list" and comment the following line "deb cdrom:
...etc." to look like this "#deb cdrom: ...etc."
