You can contribute more than bug reports and code to Free Software!
Participate in demonstrating Linux, talking Linux, showing up at Linux
parties! What is the purpose of a party - to socialize! To learn
people's names, to talk about what they are doing with Linux - to talk
about whatever and such.

This is community organized. I posted on
http://Twitter.com/AustinLinux that I would like donations - and Dell
has stepped forward to provide $300 for food and soft drinks. Texas
Coworking on 6th street (above BD Riley's near The Driskell Hotel) has
donated the space. Do you know others who might want to donate, we
could add better hard drinks and such! Speak up, this is 5 days away.

Sunday, March 14, 2010 - 1pm to 4pm. "Open House Party". I have made
arrangements so that we can come up to 1 hour early and stay 1 hour
late. Promote awareness of Linux, Free Software and community
participation. This is during the middle of _SXSW Interactive_ that
is going on at the Austin Convention Center.

Local Free Software users, including Linux are encouraged to stop by
during the party. ANYONE is welcome, including SXSW attendees from out
of town. The Dell money will be spent to provide food and soft drinks.
I will have vegan snacks and such for those so inclined. I am
donating some of my own money, including the ALE requested Rum! I
will also be bringing beer and wine, we can do . Donations of money
are welcome, please coordinate with me.

Parking downtown is an issue. I'd really like to encourage the local
Linux community to come together and help organize carpools,
designated drivers, parking solutions. It is a Sunday with free
street parking downtown - but with SXSW Interactive gong on - not sure
how easy parking will be. I can suggest places.

Texas Coworking http://www.TexasCoworking.com is providing free space,
free Internet, free electrical outlets, tables, etc. So if you are
interested in doing a presentation or demo of Linux - start preparing!

Volunteers needed: Help! Community organized, that means you!
