has anybody made the same experience ?

no, my networking worblems are not fixed: when i choose * i can reach ubos and the installed nextcloud by my local ip-address, for example 1234.5678.910./nextcloud. when i choose ubos-raspberry-pi2.local, i can't reach nextcloud neither by ip address nor by ubos-raspberry-pi2.local/nextcloud.
after installing ubos by ubos-raspberry-pi2.local and after entering my ip-address (without the whole path to /nextcloud), there ist only the 404-site i described before although nextcloud is installed. when i choose a dns-address with letsencrypt, i can reach ubos by dns-address/nextcloud but not by local ip. i need both: dns and local ip because i don't want to depend only on a dns-provider.

If you want the same site reachable through two different hostnames and/or IP addresses, you need to specify * as your hostname.

Access should work on all operating systems and types of devices, except on older versions of Windows if you do not have iTunes installed. (Yes, this sounds strange. Basically, Microsoft in the past has not supported mDNS, but Apple does, and Apple adds it to your Windows PC as soon as you install iTunes. Apple calls this feature Bonjour.) So if you are unlucky enough to run an older version of Windows, please install iTunes there and mDNS resolution should work.
