I'm not sure if this is more of a Ubiquity or a Firebug problem, but
often when I open Ubiquity and start to issue a command, my Firebug
pane will open.

I'm not sure if it's the command I'm issuing (I often use a command
starting with "add") or my shortcut (Option+Space on Mac OS X) but
neither seems to make sense.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any ideas?

Firebug just opens and nothing is logged?

Not sure what you mean; it just seems to open.

See http://bit.ly/40TXiJ where I typed Option+Space, and started to
type 'a-d-d'. Before I could get that far the Firebug pane had come
up.

Thoughts?

Can you click on Firebug's "console" pane to see if there's anything
listed there?

Try this:
Open firebug window - click "the bug" - options - reset all (last in
the list).

Also check firebug's hotkeys:
Open firebug window - click "the bug" - edit hotkeys (the last but
one)

If this doesn't wor out for you check updates & wether there are
nothing - reinstall firebug.

Nothing; I have the Console pane disabled.

That didn't help either. I had already looked through the hotkeys
(hadn't customized them) and didn't find anything problematic there.

Enable it and try again?

Ah, yes. It seems to be capturing some output from exactly the command
I'm issuing.

I guess that's a Firebug question then: "How do I not trigger the
console coming up because I really just don't care to debug any
Javascript I happen to be using?" :)

I'll take it up with the Firebug people; thanks for your help tracking
this down!
