Twitter problems with Ubiquity 0.1.4/FF3.04/Mac 10.5.6

Hello all,

After updating Ubiquity today, the twitter command seems to have
broken. What I'm seeing is that when I try to use it nothing
apparently happens. If I use the Mac Expose feature I can see the
usual authentication window for the twitter account, but I can't
actually make it usable (if I click on it, it just vanishes).

I tried changing my default skin from experimental to default, but
that didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Just upgraded to FF 3.0.5 without any change.

Got the same problem, only using Mac OS 10.4.11 also on FF 3.0.5 and
the latest Ubiquity.

For some reason it opens up the sign in thing behind the browser, and
if you click on it by using exposé it still brings up the main
browser. However, I found that if you click enter whenever Firefox is
the only word showing in the menu bar, it should update your twitter.

Hmm didn't work.

But when i did enter the normal twitter command, without text it gave
a little pop-up with that i need to fill something in to update it.
But when i enter the twitter command with the text, nothing shows up.

Worked perfect for me with FF 3.0.5 and Mac OS X 10.5.6. Haven't had time to look more at why this problem occurs.

Matt - Thanks. That worked for me. It's a work around that will
suffice for the moment.

Specifically (to spell out Matt's directions a little more):
* I brought up Ubiquity via hot key.
* I typed "twit ...some status update..." and hit enter
* At this point ubiquity went away and the menubar became just
"Firefox" next to the Apple logo in the upper left.
* Without doing anything else, hit the "Return/Enter" key again on the
keyboard.
* The menubar returned to the normal full Firefox menubar and I got
the growl notification that my twitter status had been updated.
* Subsequent updates seem to work just fine.

So for some reason the twitter login window isn't being displayed, but
it has focus. The way it appears/disappears in expose makes me thing
it's being rendered "off-screen" somewhere, i.e. I see it fly from the
upper left and then back out that way.

main FF window - as I can no longer type in web forms or in the
address bar until FF is reset.

I have this result when using the twitter or tweet command at

I am also using FF 3.0.5 and OSX10.5.6.

Does anyone else have this error as well?

The ubiquity command Tweet is not working at the link redirect from
the "Search for Ubiquity commands:" in the herd page https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/herd/

I had to google and take it from http://benatkin.com/ubiquity/tweet/ .
Are the commands lost after I update Ubiquity?

Search on the herd is somewhat broken atm - it links to the old herd address instead of the new, so all results return 404... you can keep an eye on this bug or updates: http://labs.toolness.com/trac/ticket/464

In the mean time, when you get a 404, replace http://labs.toolness.com/ubiquity-herd/ with https://ubiquity.mozilla.com/herd/ and the link should work again

It just seems that the twitter api tries to log in 'behind' your
current window (looks like a drop down log in rather than another
browser window) but when you use expose to see it and click it , it
just disappears and take you back to the main browser window, probably
as it suppose to be a drop down on the current browser window.

tried it with 0.2pre4 and pre5 no joy either

Actually, if you haven't saved your Twitter name and password, the
dialog box will actually appear after you hit Enter, since it failed
to send it the first time and it's trying again.

Just confirming that this workaround is, in fact, working until they
can get this fixed.
