just to clarify, do we need to know how to extract sequence diagrams
from code?

Please note that in the study guide I've said things like "Extract models from code SUCH AS: ....". The term "such as" is not intended to indicate an exhaustive list, so just because one particular model isn't listed (e.g. sequence diagrams) doesn't mean that you don't have to know it.
