Subject: FW: CCREEE’s Caribbean Energy Data Collection Internship Programme 2021
Dear University Colleagues,
Thank you for your support with sharing the Energy Report Card internship programme. We have received many applications, however, there are a number of countries from which we have not received any applications.
We are requesting that you share with any students or colleagues from the following islands:
Antigua and Barbuda
Belize
Montserrat
St Kitts Nevis
St Lucia
SVG
The Bahamas
OBJECTIVE
Building on the previous years of Energy Report Card (ERC) Data Collection Internship Programmes, the CCREEE is looking for motivated interns in each of the named Caribbean territories to work in close collaboration with regional and national institutions to survey and collect energy-related data for Caribbean territories that will be used to update the ERCs.
A data collection template (draft) is attached. The template lists the required categories and specific data points to be collected. The objective is to have data from as many countries as possible within the region collected by 13 August 2021.
The interns will be based in their country of residence and, where possible, will work directly within the institution responsible for energy. The internship will provide students and/or young professionals with a unique opportunity to work with the energy sector institutions and stakeholders in their countries, gain practical experience in the energy sector and contribute to the knowledge management functions of the CARICOM Energy Knowledge Hub (CEKH).
DESIRED PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree or on course for completion of one by December 2022.
• Interest in the energy sector and willingness to learn about the socio-economic, technical and environmental aspects of the energy landscape; studies in sustainable energy, environmental sciences or related fields are an asset but not a requirement.
• National or resident of one of the relevant countries.
• Proficiency in English.
INTERNSHIP TIMEFRAME
June to August 2021
The intern applicant should send their application (motivation letter and CV) on or before June 11th 2021 to recru...@ccreee.org.
Warm Regards,
Cherri-Ann
