Presure ans US sensor for altitud measurement

Hi, I would like to add a barometric presure sensor for STM32 board. I have a BMP085 and already write a driver for test it. Inside of my house I can measure change on 50cm. I would like to know what is your experience. Is there another better option.
Anybody test US sensor like hc-sr04 on quad or on fix wing near landing?

Leonardo,

In my experience the barometric sensors are not stable enough over time to allow precision landings. They seem best suited for detecting real time changes in altitude. It is just the nature of the atmosphere that air pressure is not very stable or predictable over time.

My thoughts and experiences...
