Questions about Zubax Babel.

Dear Pavel,

Hello!

I bought a zubax babel for USB2CAN and tried to monitor CAN BUS by connecting to UAVCAN GUI.

However, it was checked that it was monitored when communicating with BxCAN, the basic function of STM32, rather than the UAVCAN protocol.

I wonder if the Babel is uploaded on firmware which the Libcanard.

I tried Broadcast with UAVCAN Demo, which you provided publicly, but it was not monitored.

Please check if it is normal.

Babel is a generic USB to CAN adapter and it does not have any UAVCAN-specific features excepting the connector type. If you want to run a UAVCAN node on your Babel, you will need to update its firmware.

The firmware can be updated either using an in-circuit debugger or using the embedded bootloader; the latter is documented in the Babel datasheet: https://files.zubax.com/products/com.zubax.babel/Zubax_Babel_Datasheet.pdf
