[IMPORTANT] Officers

Hello everyone,

I do not intend to wait for your replies to the previous topic marked "Important" and we need to settle this one, too, the soonest possible.

We need some people to take on the following roles:

• Chair
• Vice-Chair
• Secretary
• Treasurer
  

The secretary and treasurer roles are usually assigned to just one person. We can do that here too.

We'd also need people to be our:

• Webmaster
• Head of Committee on Activities
• Head of External Affairs (That is, inviting more people into the chapter, PR for events, etc.)

If anyone is interested in any of the aforementioned roles or would like to nominate someone, do step up and reply to this post. For now, I think two "ayes" from other people will be enough.

Considering our small numbers at this point and the list of positions, I am going to vie for Secretary/Treasurer  and web master.   That being said,  if others are more comfortable with those, I do not mind any other role.  That is, feel free to assign me any role as needed.  

Moreover, considering your own zeal, I nominate you for chair if you are inclined.

Hi,I am available for any post,though am not tech savvy.I will be much interested in Head of External Affairs.

Joan,I will nominate for chair,you are very determined to see the group up and moving.

I'd also like to nominate Joan for the position of Chair. I'd like to nonimate myself as Head of Committee on Activities.

I'd prefer to say "No" for chairpersonship because that's a huge task and I know that much enough but that's a total of four nominations already counting in Ateafac, so an objection at this point is just a wrong form of modesty.

So, we have the following so far:

• Angela - Secretary/Treasurer
  
• John - Head of External Affairs.
• Rafael - Head of Committee on Activities.
  

And I say "Aye" to all three. You guys need only one more each at this point. Also, if you agree to the self-nomination of others, please say so.

I don't think we should give Angela three roles to fill because that would be a lot of work so, can someone please step up to the role of Webmaster? Unless, of course, Angela, you prefer that over the role of Secretary/Treasurer.

And, who is available to become Vice-Chair?

P.S. After this we will be one step closer to building a solid action plan. But we still need to move faster. The next term is coming and soon.

We have enough ayes.

So, we have the following:

• Chair: Joan Advincula
  
• Vice-Chair: John Mburu (Will also serve as Head of External Affairs)
  
• Secretary/Treasurer: Angela Labianca-Campbell (Will also serve as Webmaster)

• Head of Committee on Activities: Rafael Victor
  

Now that we have those roles settled, we can now move on what needs to be written on the action plan that we need to submit to Dr. Dan Taipala, Student Affairs, and Academic Affairs.

I'll continue this in a new thread.
