I want select many point in a drawing and put their coordinates to a matrix for inverse it and doing some computational and final , return results to autocad by new points on new layer and color . I want do this without closing autocad.

Further, I don't believe it's possible to send data to AutoCAD from an external executable. I believe the only way you're going to accomplish that is to write a LISP which exports the data in a file, then opening that file with the external programs using one of the above methods. The only way to get the data back into AutoCAD would be to then get that program to save the new data in a file, and have a LISP program read from that file. That's a very hairy operation, and may not work at all depending on your external program. It might be easier to just figure out the matrix formulae in LISP.

I figured as much. I remember them from college, and I'm sure since LISP is good at dealing with lists, it would probably be well suited for matrix operations, especially with large matrices. Problem is, I forgot everything I learned, so I'm out of ideas

I tried open my autocad file but I receveid this error message "acadlt.exe has been modified or moved"; I've just used my autocad yesterday and I didn't modified anythin in my computer; my autocad seemed disappear... What has it happened? (autocad LT2013)

I've not lost only autocad but also other programs that were in the same folder...something happened. Now I'm trying to re-install my autocad LT 2013 but it seems I've still had autocad installed. I think it's because of Autodesk sync that I'don't know how to uninstall. How can
I do?

at this point I think you should go with Dean's suggestion to have your computer set up from scratch. Don't waist any valuable time by trying to fix only fragments. As we cannot see what is really going on on your system this is your best choice.

Now I get this error. "Missing Shortcut blah blah blah" I go to the folder and the acad.exe is missing, by the looks of it there are a ton of folders and files not here either (See image attached). It looks like AutoCAD 2016 never fully installed. I have cleaned out every area the white paper said and even did a find for autocad 2016 in the registry.

I also went extreme and uninstalled every single piece of AutoDesk software and cleaned out the registry for anything that said Autodesk. I installed all of the 10 products I use and everyone works but AutoCAD 2016. I am dumfounded.....

It was installed and migraded all of the 2014 stuff which I do not want. My work has some very old custom content and I figured it would be much easier to start fresh than to go through it and weed out what they had added.

It appears from your screen capture that AutoCAD 2016 has not completed it's install. Do you have more than one monitor on this workstation? Perhaps there is something on another screen that is waiting for direction.

Which version of AutoCAD are you using? Can you send a copy of the install log? It sounds as if the installation is not complete. You can try a clean uninstall and then re-download using the virtual agent.

I have installed Autocad Architecture 2016 but there was only a shortcut provided for regular vanilla Acad. It seems that all the components for autocad architecture were installed, however i cannot run the application without the appropriate .exe file. Service pack 1 was installed to try to fix the problem to no avail. Why was this not provided during install? This appears to be a chronic problem as i had to do this for previous versions of Acad Arch for several years prior. Please help.

I am not certain why you are not getting the AutoCAD-Architecture-specific shortcuts; the default installation includes them, so unless the settings were modified to not include them, you should have them. Is at least one Profile being created for AutoCAD Architecture, in addition to the AutoCAD profile? Check this on the Options dialog, on the Profile tab, and make note of the profile name(s).

If you have at least one AutoCAD Architecture profile, you can make an AutoCAD Architecture shortcut that starts the program with that profile from a copy of the "as AutoCAD" shortcut. Right click on the copy and choose Properties from the context menu. On the Shortcut tab, change the text in the Target edit box to read like this (based on ACA 2016):

Substitute the name of your AutoCAD Architecture Profile for AutoCAD Architecture (US Imperial) if it differs from that. The en-US language switch setting is based on an English-language installation in the United States; that may or may not be appropriate for you. Note also that the file paths shown for the acad.exe and AecBase.dbx files are based on the standard installation folders and may vary for you.

So, if im reading this right, there is no .exe file for Autocad Architeture? And this AecBase.dbx is the file that create the ACA interface? That doesnt make much sense to me. if i double click acad.exe it just opens vanilla cad. where is the .exe for ACA?

At the very least, the product should be "ACA", not "ACAD". I have not yet installed the shipping version of 2017 (have to clear out some space on my hard drive, and have not had the time). I would expect that

would work, but cannot verify that. Make sure you change both of the references to "2016" in my original post to "2017". This also presumes that you are located in the United States or an area that gets the same content and have installed the US Imperial content. You may need to adjust the text after the /p switch if your localization has differently named profiles or you are using the US Metric profile.

i have installed auto cad 2017. but when i have download the auto cad the setup file was without .exe, so after the installation there is not any shortcut of autocad 2017 appears at the desktop. only the shortcuts for Autodesk desktop app & A360 Desktop appearing at the desktop....

For those of you old enough to remember the movie Highlander, when the Quickening starts there can be only one. Apart from the stunning Queen soundtrack, it was a great movie, and Connor MacLeod (actor Christopher Lambert) of the clan MacLeod was THE one, combined with incredible support from famous co-star Sean Connery as Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, who (unfortunately) does lose his head.

In the world of the new version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD 2019, we have only ONE too. When you subscribe to AutoCAD 2019, you get ONE subscription, but the many faces of AutoCAD; Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, and various other flavors. This not only gives you a specialized AutoCAD by allowing you to work in various disciplines and verticals, but also gives you various workflow improvements too. However, Civil 3D has been omitted from the ONE AutoCAD intentionally, and I am sure Autodesk have their reasons for that.

When you log in to your account portal, you will see that it has changed and the view of your subscribed AutoCAD you get now is one (pardon the pun) of many, listing all the products under your main AutoCAD subscription. You will also find that the view of AutoCAD in your Autodesk Desktop App has changed as well.

There have been some great improvements in AutoCAD 2019. One of these is the ability to save your desktop AutoCAD designs directly to AutoCAD Web and AutoCAD Mobile. If you go to the Quick Access Toolbar (top left of the desktop AutoCAD application window), you will see the new icons there that not only provide you with the facility to save to web and mobile but also go directly to those saved cloud-based designs and open them directly in the AutoCAD desktop again as well. This is also available in the AutoCAD application menu. These cloud-based files go to A360 Drive in the usual way.

You will find AutoCAD Web at web.autocad.com and if you are using the subscription version (it comes with full AutoCAD), you get a great new command panel incorporating some of the more familiar AutoCAD drafting icons, that even have a preview, just like desktop AutoCAD.

Something I love (yes, love, not just like) is that you now have the native AutoCAD window and crossing selection tools in AutoCAD Web. They work in the same way as your desktop AutoCAD and provide a rounder user experience. We have grown used to these methods of selection, and it is great to see Autodesk taking the desktop user experience tools in to the web-based version. It is by no way perfect yet, but I can see AutoCAD Web getting to a point where your AutoCAD desktop will become fully mobile. The hardware is there now; such as the Apple iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface Pro, that have the grunt under the hood to run AutoCAD Web and AutoCAD Mobile well.

Another great new feature on the Collaborate tab is Shared Views. You can upload your designs directly to the web in to the Autodesk Viewer, a cloud-based viewer. You can invite other collaborators to view your design by way of a private URL that can be emailed to the respective team members. Also, in the Autodesk Viewer, there is a Comment feed that allows all invited users to comment on the shared design and link their comments to the design as well.
