Harpy of klan Harkonnen sez he'll freeze taxes for four years
if he gets in:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-election-2015-harper-tax-lock-1.3243973

But he's said it himself there's gonna need to be some belt tightening,
particularly here in Albertastan.

So where's the cuts coming?

1. Military Personnel (not hardware): expect base closures here in Edmonton,
Calgary and the wholesale handoff of Wainright and Suffield to our NATO_is_usns
allies to the south.

2. Universities. These will be "privatized". This pays the Harkons both ways
as it dries up the source of all those pesky scientist types.

3. Medicare. Don't know how much more they can get our of it but expect
transfer payments to provinces without user-pay systems to dry up.

4. CBC. Privatized for sure.

5? I'd guess that pretty much the entire Federal infrastructure here in
Alberta is on the block to pay for the "unforseen" drop in oil prices.

No ... funding is set through multi-year agreements with the provinces
(through 2023?)

There's this National Broadcaster that's up
for sale and you could *really* drive the askin'
price down just by lettin' a few more Chechins
out of the bag...
