KR/FLoC 2026 Workshop in Honor of Joe Halpern

Joseph Y. Halpern was a pioneering computer scientist, logician, and philosopher. He made profound contributions in many areas, including reasoning about knowledge, causality, multi-agent and distributed systems, and more. He last attended KR 2024 in Hanoi, as an invited speaker for the panel “Great Ideas from KR: drawing on the past to shape the future”. He received a Ray Reiter Best Paper Prize at KR 2012, among many other high impact contributions.
In his memory and his honor, KR/FLoC 2026 is planning a one day workshop on July 19, 2026. It will include both submitted contributions and invited talks.
Submission guidelines
• We welcome papers on any topic related to Joe’s work and KR, including but not limited to, belief revision, causality, reasoning about knowledge and uncertainty, game theory and multi-agent systems.
• Submissions should take the form of extended abstracts (2-5 pages long, excluding references), formatted in one-column style, and include the names and affiliations of authors.
• Reviewing will be single-blind. Accepted contributions will be listed on the workshop website, and presented at the workshop in person.
