On behalf of the Guest Editorial team, we are pleased to share a Call for Papers for the forthcoming Special Issue entitled “Numbers of the Future: Dealing with Uncertain Data for Quantitative Risk Analysis”, to be hosted by the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning.
This Special Issue builds upon prior research efforts in Uncertainty quantification, Quantitative risk analysis, Trustworthiness, Data analytics, and Data security. The focus is on the state-of-the-art methodologies in ensuring that data and calculations are reliable, trackable, reusable, comprehensively described and linked, whilst safeguarding private information. The goal is to yield trustworthy risk analysis under uncertainty across multiple disciplines such as: engineering, industry, healthcare, finance, and forensics.
While the official timeline follows Elsevier standards, the Guest Editors are personally coordinating the review process and will aim to provide a first decision as efficiently as possible. The manuscript submission deadline is: 28-February-2027.
Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s online submission system. Authors are requested to select the appropriate Special Issue title: “VSI: Numbers of the Future” during submission.
