Please note that there is a change in the timings. This is due to the weather conditions. However, we request the captains to be present at the ground by 7:30 am. The toss will be done by 7:30am. If the captain is not available for the toss - it will be judges as toss lost. Also please make sure that your team is available in the ground by 8:00 am - before the first ball is bowled.

Dear All Captains,
 
We are starting a new tournament from the 31/12/2010. We have six teams confirmed to play this tournament. The teams are list below,
 
Bombay Boyz
Mol Liner
Friday Cricket CC
Shahab XI
UAE SC Blues
UAE SC Reds
 
The format of the tournament is league cum knock out tournament. Entry Fee is AED150/- to be payed at the earliest or before your first match. The above six teams will be divided into 2 groups of 3 teams each.
After the league matches - the top two teams with qualify for the semi finals. Semi finals draw will be Group A winner VS Group B runners up and Group A runners up VS Group B Winners.
 
Please find attached the groupings and the draw for the tournament along with below the rules.
 
 
 Rules & Regulations

 

  • Matches would be played on the every Friday starting from  31 /12/2010. ( 07 / 01 /2011 ,  14 / 0 1/201 1 etc.)
  • Entry for the tournament is AED  150/-  
  • Each team will play against each other once and the top 2 teams will qualify for the semi finals.
  • Each team would consist of 11 players minimum and a maximum of only 15 players can represent the team.
  • All matches would be played on Port Rashid ground.
  • Tennis ball would be used for all matches.
  • There will be TWO groups of 3 teams.
  • Each team will get to play the other teams once in the group stage.
  • League matches will be played on basis of 12 overs each innings. A maximum of 3 overs can be bowled by a bowler.
  • Please note that a no ball and wide will be considered as 2 runs.
  • The finals would be played of 15 overs each innings.
  • Chucking the ball would not be permitted.
  • All other rules are applicable as per ICC rules.
  • Umpire decision will be final decision.
  • Each team to report at least 15 mints before the scheduled match timings.
  • All teams are kindly requested to maintain the timing so that we complete all the matches successfully.
  • Any team that has not reported on time would lose one over per every 5 mints If the delay is more than 15 mints, then it would be considered as a walk over.
  • In the case of tie, then a winner will be decided on the basis of a super over. Incase of a tie even after a super over – the winner will be decided by a toss.
