Over Fishing

Hi Guys

I came across a very interesting article about protecting the fish
supplies in Abu Dhabi. At the bottom of the article it mentions a few
facts about juveniles being caught and what the sizes are which is a
bit surprising. The hammour is a juvenile until 43cm and the ideal
size to catch is 70cm. I am sure everyone has brought in Hammour
smaller than this and it is just something to think about next time
you catch one. Hopefully this starts to get implemented not just in
Abu Dhabi but throughout the whole of the UAE.

If Byron does not have what you are looking for, you can call Daren at 050 8866228, He has got some very nice light jigging/spinning/trolling rods from kingfisher. I am also using them locally, will also use them in Kenya next month. Strong and durable with a lot of back bone, very good prices.

It has been something we have been working on for a couple of years, but had a few issues with licenses, partners, sponsors and finally we have got it sorted out. We will be in the Dubai Garden Center so plenty of Coffee, a braai area and tackle that is not only 500lbs plus and giant rapalas.

We have had a couple of chats with Ivan to put a couple of skis and have accessories so hopefully it will be a good place to come talk fishing along with having a few products that might catch the eye........

Hi Kit,

Sorry just been back from SA to pick up gear. So I've now got a good stock of jigheads, plastics, needlenose plugs, bullet spoons and S-bend spoons along with a few Shimano Aerocast rods. The Garden Center is just just on the Dubai side of Mall of the Emirates, very easy to get too and lots of parking. 

When the dates are confirmed I'll send out an invite for the opening event.

I thinks thats the awesome part is that it is central and easy to get too in case of a fishing emergency or for a chat after work! We will also do a few flytying, clinics etc from the shop. But we will get the shop open and then sort out the "finer" points!
