Summer is just around the corner. Have you planned your children's summer schedule? Visiting China before the 29th Beijing Olympic Games to avoid the crowded would be one of the best choices for them. This opportunity is too good to miss.
With the TCS' board approval, Tucson Chinese School continues to participate in the "Root-seeking camp" in China. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of State Consul, China, Guo Qiaoban and China Overseas Exchange Association sponsor the event in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.
The summer camps that TCS participates in will be located in two places: Shandong province and Shenzhen, Guangdong province.
Parent who would like to be a chaperon must be proved when application form submitted to the TCS.
Applicants will be interviewed after application forms are submitted.
Campers will pay $20 for application fees.

Additional rules for the summer camp will be sent out later.
The deadline for submitting application forms is by April 16.

海外华裔青少年"中国寻根之旅"夏(冬)令营
海外华裔青少年"中国寻根之旅"夏(冬)令营是国务院侨务办公室和中国海外交流协会为帮助广大海外华裔青少年学习中文、了解中国国情和中华文化、促进海内 外华裔青少年的交流而在寒暑假期间举办的活动,主要内容有学习中国民族舞蹈和中华武术、学习汉语和中华文化常识、与中国青少年学生交流、参观历史文化名胜 等。
凡年龄在12--18岁之间、身体健康、希望了解中国和中华文化的海外华裔青少年均可通过中国驻当地使领馆报名。
Root-seeking Summer Camp in China, which is expected to help
overseas Chinese teenagers learn Chinese, deepen their understanding of China
and Chinese culture and promote communication among Chinese teenagers at home
and abroad, is held by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council
and China Overseas Exchanges Association during the summer and winter vocation
each year. The event mainly consists of activities like learning Chinese folk
dances and Chinese Kungfu, studying Chinese and common knowledge of Chinese culture,
communicating with Chinese students, visiting cultural and historic sites, etc.
Any Overseas Chinese teenagers aging from 12 to 18 who are
healthy and interested in China and Chinese culture may contact the consular
department of the local Chinese Embassy or Consulate to ask for registration.
