Hi Sheng!

How was the 2/8 event?  I didn't make it back to town until almost 10pm.  Sorry I had to miss it.  I'm sure it was great with you at the helm.

We are releasing our news about the concert this week!  Please circulate to your contacts if you can.  I'll be in touch if you have any questions.  We will also post to facebook soon.

I am still planning the full program flow but I am certainly keeping you in mind for emcee if you are available.  In any case, I really hope you can come!

Will you be at the Guang Yan show tomorrow?

Warm regards,
Francine

Eastern Echo, a rising musical presence in the Houston Chinese community, is thrilled to announce its concert debut.  A fresh fusion experience rarely enjoyed by Houstonians, the Eastern Echo Concert will showcase superb musicians, a world premiere, and a broad program that appeals to diverse audiences and paves the way for expanding contemporary Eastern folk music into the surrounding region and nationally. A truly progressive endeavor in the realm of Asian-inspired fusion music, the concert's repertoire embraces the diverse influences of the performers, from ancient Chinese ballads and ethnic folk melodies to American jazz and rock. In addition, guest artists will be featured whose backgrounds range from African drumming to Chinese dance. While it will showcase a unique facet of Houston's multicultural community, this local event will also pave the way for expanding contemporary Eastern folk music in the surrounding region and nationally.
