Flash Game Engineer for Ciklum New Client

Kyiv, Ukraine

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and other developers to conceptualize creative solutions for client and server game elements
• Design and implement code for front-end game logic and for interfacing with backend servers.
• Knowledge of design patterns and experience working with MVC frameworks
• Up-to-date knowledge of Adobe products (Flash, Flex, Air) and the ability to create and utilize AS3 gaming frameworks such as Starling and Feathers
• Familiarity with Git version control software

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years solid commercial software development experience using AS3
• Expertise in Flash Development: ActionScript, Air, and Cross-platform development
• Extensive design and game development experience
• Experience with social networking games
• Knowledge and experience of client to server communication
• Experience with agile development process
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assist other team members in problem solving
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Desirable:

• Gaming industry and/or online game design experience
• Experience in other scripting languages (JavaScript, LUA, Perl, Python)
