Hi guys.
I'm about to start a new trip around the islands of Onega Bay in the White Sea.
More details are available at https://www.qrz.com/db/UA1ATD. Click on the LOC to see the island on the satellite map.
My equipment: 100W FT897d transceiver, 105 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate battery (20 hours of runtime), 1100W gasoline generator, 12.5m Spiderbeam mast, vertical dipole for 20m, and IV for 40m. To get to the the islands, I use a small inflatable boat. I also use a homemade QSO logger on a 10-inch Android tablet.
A few notes:
Mobile internet will likely be unavailable on most of the islands, and I won't be able to update my online expedition log daily.
I usually stay on the island for one day and move to the next in the evening after 14:00 UTC. If I stay for two days, I operate in the evening from 17:00 to 18:00 UTC on the 40m band.
I prefer to operate on 7013, 14013, 18073, 21013, and 10113 kHz (CW) and occasionally on 7130, 14130, 18130, and 21230 kHz (SSB) from 05:00 to 13:00 UTC.
There are several short sessions on 7013kHz 7:30, 8:30, 11:30, and 12:30 UTC for short-range QSOs.
See you on the air in a week for 3 weeks.
I will upload my QSO there in a week after the expedition.
