Hi Steve,
Did you get the U100? And connected?
I sent you an email offline re: documentation and misleading info in the thread on arduino forum)
I have lots of direct, relevant experience with PEP/PEPG Uniscope emulation.

My brother and I are re-animating a Univac II console panel, one of 2 from Ontario Hydro.

I finally got a  U100 with an async interface. Unfortunately it is non functional. I guess it will just have to sit next to my 90/30 maintenance panel and look pretty. I got my 90/30 panel blinking again last year. Good luck with your UII panel.

I worked for Sperry Burlington branch from 77 to 97. I'm surprised we never ran into each other.

If we can find schematics, then ..... Is the thing dead? The U100's suffered from contact rot, a cost cutting measure removed the gold pate from the board edge connectors. Sometimes just titling one corner of the unit wprovided enough flex to get things connected again. Used to amaze the operators are United Airlines in Toronto Airport, it looked like I waved my hand over the machine :-)
I have a core memory board for the U100, maybe we can make a swap some time?

I was in Toronto Major Systems, mainframes with the ocassional 'small' system thrown in. There wasn't a lot of intermingling for some reason.

I would still like to shift the Uniscope stuff to someone who can use it eventually. Also have Univac binders to give away (cost of shipping).

It powers up but all I get is a single dot in the middle of the CRT. I pulled the boards and gave them a good scrub with an eraser which was an almost a guaranteed fix back in the day but no joy. I'm guessing either a problem with the deflector board or the crt itself. Neither of which i am qualified to mess with.

I've got more univac binders than i know what to do with.

If you can scan the schematics there is a site that archives all that kind of stuff and makes it available online. www.bitsavers.org
