The Irish rockers will release their 11th studio album, produced by
Steve Lillywhite, on November 23, while the first single, "Vertigo,"
will hit radio on September 24. A video will be released in October.
In July, an unmixed version of the album was stolen from a photo shoot
in France, where the band was posing for the album's cover art (see
"Copy Of Upcoming U2 Album Disappears At Photo Shoot"). Bono told The
Daily Telegraph in the U.K. that the band would think about releasing
the album on Apple iTunes as a legal download if the music appeared on
the Internet.
The disc will be the band's first studio release since 2000's All That
You Can't Leave Behind.
