I want to run my DD-20 and Verbzilla in parallel. My amp is a
Valvetronix with no effects loop. I've searched for parallel effects
loopers/mixers with a limited number of affordable options. Anyone
here have any suggestions? The most promising seems to be a Rocktron
Tru-Loop. Anyone use one of these or have a better suggestion for
creating a parallel FX loop without breaking the bank?

Define "affordable". Also, unclear as to whether you're going to run
it to a second amp? It's not labeled as a looper/mixer, but the
Voodoo Labs Amp Selector will do the trick (plus some). You can
adjust the mix of each path (guitar/shimmer) individually at the
pedal. Plus, it'll give you much more options if you want to add
additional amps later on. I've got one and love it. Great quality,
too. Used, you can find them for 135-150.00 USD.

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at that. "Affordable" - I
prefer to stay in the $100 range, maybe a bit more if worthwhile. I
don't see myself using 2 amps. Seems like it should be pretty basic
to make a device that splits and recombines 2 signal paths with a
variable mix between them.

Have you looked into the parallel and volume mixing capabilities of a
BOSS Line Selector LS-2? Fairly cheap, esp on E-Bay, and I think A+B
mode would do the trick.

Thanks Greg! The A-B Mix mode is exactly what I want and less than
$50 on E-bay too. Great suggestion!
