Outlook.com <-> TB contacts synchronization

Dear Mark,

I have an outlook.com account and I synchronize my contacts in Thunderbird (24.3.0) with tzpush(1.6.1).

Synchronization works well in both directions. The only problem is that I have 159 contacts in Outlook.com but it seems only 128 in TB.

My settings:
Server: dub-m.hotmail.com (https enabled).
No provisioning.
Auto sync time 120 min.

I tried Resync All function, I got only 128 duplicates nothing else.

Any help would be appreciated.

The resync should not have duplicated results? Something is wrong!

Could you download and install this in a new profile ( to test)

Then set extensions.tzpush.debugwbxml to 1 in Thunderbird preferences. This will enable debuging.

Make sure the device id is different.

Set auto sync time to 0

Do a manual sync

Check output in thunderbird error console.

Wait for it to finish. Outlook seems to take a while to respond sometimes.

Dear All,

 

it wasn't easy, but finally I found the solution:

1. I exported my contacts to WLMContacts.csv on Outlook.com.
2. I deleted my contacts (on Outlook.com).
3. I imported contacts from WLMContacts.csv into Outlook.com.
4. After this TB/tzpush syncs everything perfectly!

I have a similar problem. I want my list of contacts to synchronize between multiple operating systems (including Windows & Ubuntu). Using the instructions @ Pulsar, I manage to configure the correct synchronization in a single system. When I try in the second, charged a comprehensive list of contacts (101 of 133). Why? For both systems have the same settings:

Server: dub-m.hotmal.com
Use https://: active.
Provisioning. Send Birthday Information and Use ";" as Seperator isn't active.

I don't know what the problem is. Is the amount of data for one contact is important? Is it possible to synchronize with only one client Thunderbird?

There is nothing in tzpush that restricts the use to one client. I use both windows and linux to sync to zarafa. The Device ID should be unique to each instance of tzpush. If there is a limit to clients it could be with outlook.com.

Can you outline the problem you are having on the second instance.

I was very pleased when I found this add-on, since I really like Thunderbird and my Windows Phone. I want to sync all my contacts on Windows Phone contacts with Thunderbird contacts.

But tzpush is not working well. If changes in Thunderbird contacts seem to synchronise to Outlook, outlook.com contacts are always always not synchronised to Thunderbird.

Can you tell me what platform you are using (Windows, Linux, Mac, BSD, other)?

What Thunderbird Version?

Tzpush version?

Tzpush protocol (2.5 or 14.0)?

In the other side, outlook.fr is synchronized with a Windows Phone

Are the missing contacts "Other" ie Twitter,Gmail etc.

set extensions.tzpush.debugwbxml to 1 in thunderbird config editor.

Do a re-sync and look at results in thunderbird error console.

Let me know if it shows any errors. Can you give me an example of an entry that does not sync.

I have the same problem.
I have about 180 contacts in my thunderbird addressbook but in my outlook.com addressbook are only about 150 contacts synced.

To do a detailed analysis of the problem I activated the debugging mode of tzpush and did a resync of the whole addressbook. But the error console didn't display any errors.

Is there any solution for that problem?
Could the current beta version of tzpush solve it?
