I've been looking for something like this of ages.....now just got to get it to work!!

I've been reading and set it up as follows.

Server - dub-m.hotmail.com
UserName - ****@outlook.com
Use HTTPS - Ticked
Use Provisioning - Unticked
Autosync Time - 5 Minutes

The password is an app generated one due to using 2FA.

When I try to sync it returns 'syncing' then 'all done'. But the address book is empty!

In thunderbird preferences set extensions.tzpush.debugwbxml to 1.
Do a sync and check error console.
Let me know what you see.

Thanks for the info.

It seems to be a password error. I'm using the app generated key as you have to in TB itself. One strange thing is the password field goes blank if you hit OK then open the settings again...is this by design?

The password not saving properly should be solved in latest version. Just update from thunderbird

I get a kind of same error,

My password seems to be saved (but 'blanc' every time in the add-on window).
Used add-on version: 1.9.8.6 ànd Beta version: 2.5.1.
Thunderbird version: 31.7.0 on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 with latest updates.
All my software is Dutch.

Log with thunderbird preferences extensions.tzpush.debugwbxml set to 1 (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Modify_Thunderbird_settings):

If I use the 's.outlook.com' server as suggested on: http://www.itechtics.com/how-to-synchronize-outlook-com-contacts-with-thunderbird-addressbook/ the log gives the same status as mentioned in the posts above.

Is there a solution or did I do something wrong?

Try using dub-m.hotmail.com as the server.
Enter username and password.
Click on OK.
Reopen tz-push settings to see if password is saved.
Close and reopen Thunderbird (just to be sure)
Try resync. Not reset.
