Hi,

I have just released a new version of TbSync. This version has built in support for outlook.com and also supports ActiveSync Autodiscover, which simplifies the setup process.

I also created a how-to-install and how-to-get-started wiki page with screenshots of the Add-On:
https://github.com/jobisoft/TbSync/wiki/How-to-get-started

If you already know how to manually install an Add-On XPI file, you can get the latest release here:
https://github.com/jobisoft/TbSync/releases

Information on why I forked TzPush and created the new Add-on TbSync, can be found here:

Any feedback is helpful :-)

Yours
John

I have been looking for an alternative to Windows Live 2012 and found that Thunderbird has add-ons for syncing Gmail and Hotmail contacts. The Gmail Contacts add-on seems to work quite well.

For Hotmail, I tried TbPush but discovered that it only works up to Thunderbird v40 while the latest TB version is v45 and I have not been able to get it to work. However, while reading up on TbPush, I learned that it has been superseded by TbSync and CategoryManager.

After removing TbPush, TbSync appears to be working because it finds my Hotmail calendars and contacts. However, after leaving it running for over an hour, it still shows that it is retrieving folders for synchronization.

Any suggestions?

This should be fixed in TbSync v0.6.7
