Another Hotmail non-sync

I notice that the last hotmail/outlook/livemail response for my issue goes back to 2014, so I thought I'd see if there's an update. I've just recently switched over from Windows Live mail to Thunderbird for my Hotmail account, and can't get sync. When I log in on a browswer to hotmail, I don't get the the-letter prefix - I used to some time ago, but that seems to have changed with the updates; I now go to outlook.live.com.

I've tried a variety of domain names in the settings: outlook, hotmail, live; with and without the "m."; I tried adding "dub-m" since that seemed the prefix that was used a lot in examples. I'm not sure whether or not to check the "provisioning" box or which ActiveSync version (2.5?) to have in the dropdown menu, but the permutations are starting to become to become to numerous to try. Any sense what's most likely to work? I'd like to get my address book into my new email program.

Hi JR,
I think the writer of this addon has sadly stopped maintaining it.
I was able to get mine to sort of work (on windows10, still no luck on ubuntu) using s.outlook.com .
This syncs both ways when editing but new entries created on TB don't show on Outlook. Bizarrely they do show up on my android phone, plus if I create the entry again on Outlook I then get 2 copies everywhere. I found it best to only create new entries on the web interface.
