With a little over a month to go, we still have seats available.  Even if you yourself don't think a 0.5 course is for you, we all have friends and relatives that could benefit from starting out on the right foot.  We would appreciate it if you could forward this to any of them.

  • When:

  • Target audience:

    • This class is intended as an introductory class for those new to handgun shooting or without prior formal handgun instruction  


  • Course Objectives:

    • Students will learn safe weapons handling and operation while being introduced to the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. Additionally, students will develop a solid foundation for continuing their firearms training.  


  • Topics covered

    • Firearms safety

    • Marksmanship fundamentals

    • Efficient gun-handling

    • Target transitions

    • Gun & Gear selection and evaluation


  • Required Gear:  **Limited quantities available for loan

    • Semi-auto pistol of 9mm caliber or larger**

    • Minimum 2 magazines**

    • 300 rds of ammunition

    • Belt mounted holster**

    • Belt mounted magazine pouch**

    • Eye/ear protection

    • Sturdy belt

    • Pants or shorts with belt-loops capable of supporting belt, holster & magazine pouch
